First section or item is List, it will pull up the file list. If you have a
sec code then you can put that in the text box and you will get your secure list.
Second section is Database. In order to access a Database you need to know the file name, use the list from item 1.
Also the names are Case Sensitive. Eg. My_name and My_Name are 2 different names. The second Database menu item does several things.
First is Access a DB File and record. It's self explainatory. Once you enter the name and record click Submit or hit enter and you will see
that record show up. On that page it will tell you how many records there are in that database along with what record your
looking at. To return to the previous page to enter another record just use the return on the browser.
In a record all words to the left of ( : ) is header names, to the right of the ( : ) is the data to go with
that header Without the ()'s. All database displays will have the same format [ Header : Data ].
The next item in the Data Base page is Search. That is similiar to the first except you not only enter file name but what
you are searching for. All records that have a match will show up on the next page. Just scroll up/down to review them.
The Forth Item on the DataBase page is Edit A Record. This item has 2 parts. Part 1 will let you input a File Name and Record #.
The next page will show you that record, with numbers to the left fo the Headers. 1), 2) etc.You will see instruction on the bottom
of that page. You will need to note the Header number of whos data you want to edit. You can't edit the header at this time.
You will be instructed to return to the previous page and this time you will be entering data in Part 2 of the [Edit Database Record].
You will enter 4 items. File Name, Record #, Header # and the new Data you want to input for that Header.Put the New Data in "" Quotes.
There is a total of 6 items in the data base.
Security or Sec code has to be added by the Admin. Sec code is
used by placing it before the file name: sec/filename. Admin Request
Some items won't work in the
Example area. They require the use of a Security code.
To play with the database use the FileName "Example"
Only the first 3 items in the DataBase will work without the sec key.
The files in the example area will be replaced each day with the default.
Will be added to the main uverse menu once database construction
is done.
